He also made it clear that the Adani Group does not get any kind of special treatment from any government. He also gave the example of the Vizhinjam port in Kerala.

This port is the first deep-water container transhipment port in India. He talked about the port in order to highlight the Adani Group's focus on carrying out infrastructural projects across different states. The Vizhinjam port is currently being developed by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone. It is all set to become operational early this year. Soon after that, the Adani Group will also commence working on the second phase of the project. An investment of INR 20,000 crore was made for the project.

This marks the beginning of operations at India's first deep-water container terminal port in Vizhinjam. It is India's first automated port which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The port offers large-scale automation for quick turnaround of vessels. The port also has the capacity to handle megamax container ships.

It was tried thrice in 40 years but none of the attempts were successful.
